Basting Sauce

Versatile Swanson® Chicken Stock makes a basic lemon herb sauce that can be brushed on chicken, fish or pork during grilling or broiling.

Directions

Stir the stock, lemon juice, basil, thyme and black pepper in a small bowl. Use the stock mixture to baste chicken, fish or pork during grilling.

Ingredients

1 cup Swanson® Chicken Stock
2 tablespoons lemon juice
0.5 teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed
0.5 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
1 dash Generous dash black pepper
